Another question about a surgery. This time- to cut off a bunion and straighten a big toe. At this stage it is still optional as to whether to go through it. I understand that it is quite painful and the recovery could be long, and it could affect swimming because the toe joint will be fused. Anyone had experience with this particular form of torture?
I've had it but on the little toe. Way easier. It was nothing. Easier than a Morton's Neuroma survey. I couldn't swim until the steri-strips had fallen off. Hope this helps!
Make sure everything is healed closed to prevent infection! That would be a very time consuming and scary recovery.
Take the time to do it the right way!!
Yeah, my big decision is whether to put it off for a year or so, in order that I can get to the magical point of aging up to a new age group and get a few meets in before the surgery.
Swimming often controls such decisions.
