No propulsion coming from Backstroke kick

I've been learning to swim backstroke recently (I only swim freestyle). However, I have a problem: I don't know how to kick correctly. I already watched many videos on youtube about it, but I still can't do it. My knees are slightly straight (not bending over) and I am in a good streamline position, but there isn't any propulsion coming from my legs. I think I can be a very good swimmer on backstroke. Although, I have a great problem with my kick and, in the end, most of my propulsion comes from my arms (my legs just prevents my body from sinking). Can someone help me with this, please? I'd really appreciate that.
