The above appeared on the front page of the Richmond paper; masters swimming figures prominently. Marie was a long-time USMS member. She hasn't been able to swim since 2013 I think -- and hasn't been a member since then -- but when she was last registered I believe she was the oldest female USMS member.
She was an impressive lady. She still dove off the blocks even when she was over 100 years old, and still drove herself to morning practice.
I was just going to post an article I found and saw this thread already. Wow, she's incredible, especially when you consider she didn't start swimming until 65.
