Is there anyone in the stadium who heard what sounded like the starting gun? A false start is a false start. Why did they make this one different?

The starter held the swimmers because the swimmer in Lane 3 was moving. (Probably should have asked all the swimmers to stand down, rather than just asked the swimmer in Lane 3 to be still). www.usatoday.com/.../
