I am looking for a simple Heart Rate Monitor that works in the water in real time as well as on land. I used to use a Polar monitor that worked as needed, but didn't have a lot of longevity in the water. I don't mind wearing a chest strap if it works. What I need is a device that shows me on the spot what my heart rate is, not after I download it when I get home. This technology has become all so very complicated that I can't make heads or tails out of what I really need.
I recently purchased the very newest and best from Garmin, only to find out that it didn't work in real time. I took a big hit in returning it. Why is this to hard???
I have a Polar that I purchased six or eight years ago and used exactly twice (still in the box). I don't know if it's the same model as the one you had, but I think it says it can be used in the pool. I'd be willing to part with it for cheap.
