I have to give Santa some clues on what to put in my stocking this year and would appreciate views on the tempo trainer. I am working on 50 free at the moment, and have a race planned for the end of January - the first for 3 years.
Through long usage of paddles (now used rarely if at all) , I have become an 'over glider' and developed a dead spot in my stroke where momentum drops. According to my swim chums I make it all look very easy, but when I really want to put the hammer down I don't deliver as I should.
A new coach is correcting the following stroke flaws; - over gliding - loss of momentum - slow stroke rate - tendency to spin the wheels when trying to sprint ......
A tempo trainer seems a good present from Santa to help eliminate these flaws. Has anyone used the tempo trainer to address similar issues, and did it make a difference?
