Achilles Tendon fatigue

I started using Zoomers a couple of months ago. Up until about 3 weeks ago, I thought they were great. I built up my yardage using them, never exceeding 6-800 yards per workout, and only twice a week. However, I started to get a sore achilles tendon on one foot, thereby limiting my use of them. I use them now for only about 600 yards per week freestyle, and not at all for back stroke. I stretch out my feet by rotating them from the ankles and flexing them several times a day. I find it bothers me even when I'm not wearing them, if I'm doing long sets, or several repeat sets, of free. Can anyone recommend some way to strengthen, or stretch, or otherwise overcome the fatigue and soreness of that tendon? Thanks.

I do not have the expertise to suggest a good program to work up to using fins without injury, but for now I would suggest shelving the fins for a few weeks. Perhaps also be careful about excessive stretching in the area. Just walking around you will give your tendons enough workout and trying to "work out the injury" with extra stretching could prolong your symptoms. Tom.
