About the Film
Touch the Wall is the story of two amazing women and their their journey to swimming's highest stage - the 2012 London Olympics. The young phenom (Missy Franklin) is just beginning her career and is saddled with mile-high expectations; the veteran (Kara Lynn Joyce) is trying to rediscover the juice that took her the previous two Olympics. Touch the Wall is a story of winning and losing, of commitment, and triumph through adversity. It’s also a story of family, of loving what you do, and having fun with the people around you. In a world starved for heroes, Missy and Kara stand tall in Touch the Wall.
This film is being distributed through a web site, Tugg.com, that allows groups to host showings of new movies. The group that hosts the showing receives a percentage of the ticket sales. Tickets are sold online and a minimum number of tickets must be reserved in order for the screening to take place.

Saw the film tonight, in a sold-out showing hosted by the local USA Swimming team. It was great, especially to be able to see it with an audience full of swimmers! Both the kids and the Masters swimmers enjoyed it.

The Georgia events are doing really well. December 29th is sold out and the January 5th showing in Lawrenceville is just about there.
One thing to note about the January 22nd showing in Atlanta from the event details: Kara Lynn will be in the audience for this screening and will be available for a 30 minute Q&A following the show.
