Swimming History at the Rowdy Gaines Classic

Swimming history was made at the Rowdy Gaines Classic a few weeks ago, when four friends from Jacksonville, Florida set the first ever 360-399 age group world records in the 400 and 800m freestyle relays. It was an incredible moment! Growing Bolder produced a wonderful piece on these four swimmers, really capturing the essence of just how amazing they are. Please take the time to watch this emotional and inspiring video. Thanks to Rowdy Gaines for supporting and encouraging athletes such as these to accomplish such feats! growingbolder.com/925882 If you'd like to get more of an idea as to just how unique this event is, we also published a write-up and photo gallery: www.swimspire.com/.../

  • Steve, hope you do get to attend next year - you would love it and it would be great to meet you there! pwb, yes, it was amazing - and even more awe-inspiring to witness in person. Have never seen/heard the pool deck go as crazy as it did that evening - and every time they swam!
