Take a simple pull bouy, the symmetrical style, one piece, release it under
water, it will orient itself as it ascends so that the broad side
is facing up. Doesn't matter which face is up when released, just
start deep enough so that it has time to flip around.
I know, I know, I am easily entertained.
The bout will lay flat to make the bottom rise up to the level of the other side. Fins sink so as the flipper acts as a tail to rudder it to the down position. I M H O
