The good news is that it is thunderstorming in Santa Clara today--rain through the weekend--and clearing up early next week--just in time for nationals! Forecast says the warmest days will be Tuesday through Friday (highs in the 80's)--cooling down on the weekend a bit. Mornings are almost always cool and cloudy because of the marine layer. Dress accordingly. If you are local and planning on trying out the pool this weekend, don't bother unless you want to get a jump on your long course training. We are long course until Tuesday so the blocks and turns are different.

Hope you have a great meet and wish I could be there. Had a great time at the "AAU" Masters Long Course in '74. It was the start of my soon-to-be mother-in-law's 25 year love affair with Masters Swimming, and she was 65 at the time.

I'd just add for all folks coming from humid climates to not be fooled by the 80's - with the lower humidity, you will feel cool as soon as you exit the water until you get dried off. If you have parkas, I'd highly recommend them.
