Anyone use prescription goggles?

Any brand recommendations? How important is it to find a brand that offers separate diopters for each eye if your prescription is about -1 difference from right to left? It seems like even the brands that offer separate diopters for each eye only have 0.5 steps up in diopter, if my diopter works out to be x.25 or x.75, do I round it up or down? • I have a small face and haven't had very good luck finding comfortable and good fitting optical goggles. My friends with larger faces haven't had the fit issue. The best so far have been the Sporti's and Speedo Vanquisher. Optically though, I have found that the prescription doesn't have to be that close to read the whiteboard and clock. I have severe astigmatism as well as nearsightedness and am also using old goggles that are a 0.5 too weak for my good eye and 1.0 too weak for the bad eye, but I can still see well enough.
  • Philoswimmer: which Barracuda style do you use? I tried Dr B style (both and adult and kids version). The adult style was too big and the kid style came apart between the lens and the gasket after about two weeks.
  • I used to use the B300s, but they stopped making those with prescription. The kid style was too small for me. So now I wear the "Standard" Barracudas. I don't like them quite as well, but they have been working for me for a number of months now, pretty comfortable, no leaking.
  • Good news for me! I had my cataracts removed and permanent lens inserted so that I can see ALL of the time! It's very cool to wake up and see clearly for the 1st time in my life!
