I was intrigued by the description of finswimming in a recent article about Misty Hyman on the USMS home page.

Of course in this age of Google and Wikipedia it is easy to find information about anything but I was curious if anyone on these forums has trained for or participated in fin swimming events (or known someone who has) and what their impressions were.
First I've ever heard of it. Definitely sounds cool though.
Not that I plan to enter finswimming in the near future, a monofin has definitely been on my list of items to get for some time.
