I just received my first invitation to my college's Alumni swim meet. :applaud: They've been having these for years, but the folks who graduated before the current coach's tenure were never invited. While filling out the entry, it asked for graduation year. This year (2013) marks 20 years since I graduated. Man, it sure doesn't feel like it's been that long. I still feel like I'm 25! I'm kind of excited to go back to the old pool, but now I really have to get my butt in gear. I don't want to LOOK old in the pool. :cane:
This summer, the athletic department has started a new Alumni Association for former athletes of all sports. I believe that everyone who responded to the invite that came a while back will be included from here on (for their respective sport, of course). I had asked to be included over the years, and even offered to help coordinate it since I still live in the same city. The meet is Friday night, and the official reunion is Saturday. I will likely only go to the Friday events.
