Now that summer is here and swimming under the sun, any suggestions for a good swim shirt (rash guard) for guys with UV protection and can withstand chlorine? Also non-chafing would be good. Would it be better to get a tighter or looser fit? Any other thoughts on the subject are appreciated. I would use this for my 1-2 hour workouts.

Hi Mark,
I wear a UV swim shirt for Masters practice for protection from the Florida sun. It took about four tries to find a UV shirt/rash guard that worked for me. I've ended up wearing an O' Neill rash guard ordered online. The 'model' I like is called Basic Skins, about $30.00. Started with a larger size and found it floated up and caused additional drag. I've ended using a tighter short sleeve rash guard as getting into the pool seems to loosen the fabric. The O' Neill fabric seems durable and hasn't chaffed. I recommend ordering a size smaller than your normal and the shirt should fit very snugly. I swim early mornings without the shirt and I don't notice much of difference drag wise with or without the top.
Good luck
