We are going to be in Scottsdale in August for 2 weeks(no,it's not a pleasure trip.)I don''t want to get up early and I don't want to fry(I have a typical Oregon tan-fishbelly white.)My wife likes to do at least a 2 hour workout(I take less time.)Any suggestions?I have gone to "places to swim" and there are several listings, but since I am sufficiently lazy as to not want to go through each one to see which are indoors and open at the right time I thought I'd ask here.
Allen, The best (maybe only) option is Lifetime Fitness as they have a 5 lane SCM indoor pool that is always cool and a huge gym attached to it. I imagine their drop-in rates are expensive, but, if you belong to a gym back home that is an IHRSA (www.healthclubs.com/.../) member, you should be able to get a discount. I'm not sure if they have a weekly pass option for you, but I can ask if you are interested. Just let me know.
I believe many of the LA Fitness clubs also have indoor pools, but I haven't been to any of them -- ping aztimm as he trains at some of them.
Thanks!!!
