I plan on joining a local CrossFit program to improve endurance, and I also plan on doing the Paleo diet alongside. Is this a good idea, and can I expect performance gains? I'm doing swimming 2 hours a day early morning already. i also plan on doing maybe an hour of Yoga in the beginning of my day in or to stretch my muscles and remove the negative is affects of weight compression, will Yoga also make me more streamline-like in the water?

  • Yeah, be careful not to hurt yourself with the cross-fit... yoga is great, but pay attention to the sequencing of your exercises, start with a good long warm-up (maybe sun salutation series x 10). I'd also like to know what your two hours of swimming looks like... we all know folks who can spend two hours in the pool, but they aren't swimming vigorously the whole time. For endurance, definitely check out the interval workouts on the threads mentioned above. Focus on long sets w/ short rests.
