FINA rules as modified for Masters competition and as printed in the latest edition of the FINA Handbook will govern all aquatic disciplines at the V UANA Pan American Masters Championships. I got a dual confirmed DQ in the 50 Free at our state meet(Indiana) for exiting the pool incorrectly during Fly-over starts. Most people didn't even know we were doing them the first day and the confusion cost more time than if they'd done regular starts.
I'm wondering where in the rule book it states that you can get deeked for doing this? I guess it might qualify under "delay of meet." In the meantime I'm the only idiot I know of who has been deeked in the 50 free for something other than a false start. Maybe I should appear as a special guest on the Lochte show.
