all you have to do is go back to my posts from italy last year.
i climbed onto the blocks for my 800m at 7:35pm and 100 guys in front of me had been DNS with on deck seating.
For that meet, DNS means they really did swim, but no official time was posted because they were slower than the qualifying time, right?
