FINA rules as modified for Masters competition and as printed in the latest edition of the FINA Handbook will govern all aquatic disciplines at the V UANA Pan American Masters Championships. It is the responsibility of each competitor to be familiar with these rules. FINA rules and regulations may be found at fina.org.

all you have to do is go back to my posts from italy last year.
i climbed onto the blocks for my 800m at 7:35pm and 100 guys in front of me had been DNS with on deck seating.
and this was a 10 lane pool!!! in a typical 8 lane pool that is 13 heats of 11 -14min each.
i wasnt even close to being in the last seeded heat (but now i would be! :D )
oh yeah, and this was *just* mens!!! women had their own pool.
of course it was the biggest meet ever held by almost 50% too
when the host country brings in as many entries as the largest meet and then you add in the rest of the world...it was a bit much
