Lance not allowed to swim in masters competition

dfw.cbslocal.com/.../ Lance withdrew voluntarily, but what would USMS have done if he hadn't.

  • I don't think it would be received favorably! Armstrong swimming in a USMS sanctioned meet--even as a pirate--would be seen as undermining WADA's sanction.Historically when pirates were caught, they were made to dance the hempen jig. I believe penalties today may be somewhat less severe. During the 17th and 18th centuries these public executions were a form of entertainment. This part doesn’t seem to have changed too much.
