hey guys, I am looking to improve my 50 free and 50 fly performance. I have a best of 24.5 in the 50 free LCM I don't know what my time is in the 50 fly but I am pretty sure that comparatively its better then the free. Anyways I have recently started to do some serious strength training after ande told me to. I have already improved my swimming times. I believe I should be able to go a looot faster than this. My realtive strength(strength to weight ratio) I think is as good as the elite swimmers if not better ( I am not joking). of course just being strong doesn't ensure that someone will be very fast in the water. One also need great technique, which i think is my main problem........ so guys I am posting some clips of me swimming...... I would like your comments on what I should do technique-wise, training wise to swim to my best potential............... www.youtube.com/watch www.youtube.com/watch www.youtube.com/watch www.youtube.com/watch My goal is to swim 50 free in less than 24 seconds before 2014 and in the fly........... well I don't know possibly faster than the freestyle ( comparatively). thanks in advance............................

  • It would be mostly speculation to give you specific insight and comments based on the videos provided, which do reflect your strength, raw speed, and tempo. But that is only about 15% of information regarding what you are doing when swimming, as coach T said, the underwater views are missing. Also while your motivation to become an elite level swimmer is commendable, and certainly you show potential, but requires more than comments from a swimming forum, rather you would benefit from an experienced coach to help facilitate your training and stroke development. If not available locally, there are quality coaching services available virtually as well. Good Luck!
