I have a meeting in Mesa at 10:30. My flight out is not until 5:30. Using the "Places to swim" search on USMS, looks like there are a few mid day workouts in the area. Any suggestions?
If you want to do your own thing, head to Cactus Pool in Scottsdale (www.scottsdaleaz.gov/.../cactuspool) and you'll have the option of either dropping into the noon Sun Devil Masters workout or grabbing, very likely, your own lap lane. The noon Masters workout there is usually very low key. Entry fee is like $3.
In addition, if you want to try swimming at altitude in a very cool pool, contact Northern Arizona Masters up in Flagstaff (nau.edu/.../) and time your travel through there to grab a workout here -- www.nauathletics.com/.../WallAquaticCenter.jpg. This is THE place that international elite teams go for their altitude training.
