I have a meeting in Mesa at 10:30. My flight out is not until 5:30. Using the "Places to swim" search on USMS, looks like there are a few mid day workouts in the area. Any suggestions?

Keith -- Mesa is definitely the place to go both for the workout and the location.
Both Phoenix Swim Club and Sun Devil Masters will/should have noon workouts, but they'll be farther from Mesa.
The city of Scottsdale pools at Cactus Park (www.scottsdaleaz.gov/.../) and El Dorado (www.scottsdaleaz.gov/.../eldopool) have lap swimming from 6am to 1pm. El Dorado is closest to Mesa and a fine enough pool, but Cactus is a better pool.
Not sure if you're able to drop into ASU's Rec Center pool, but it might be worth a call to see if you can if you only have time in the afternoon -- www.swimmersguide.com/.../Detail.cfm.
FYI and IMHO, www.swimmersguide.com is a better place to go and gets you to pool information much quicker than the USMS search function.
Thanks,
I probably have to go back next week. My main meeting will be in Scottsdale, but I am completely useless at swimming by myself.
