As part of the the USMS Fitness Committee's ongoing efforts to encourage new and exciting forms of fitness, we'd like to get a feel for what you do for fun in the pool.
Today's topic:
“It’s My Birthday and I’ll Swim if I Want to”
Many swimmers do special things for a birthday swim such as swimming their age number of 50’s or 100’s. Some may be even more creative! What do you do?
I'm turning 42 in March - perhaps the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe and Everything (or perhaps not quite, the Answer may be 6x9=42 in base 13): en.wikipedia.org/.../Phrases_from_The_Hitchhiker's_Guide_to_the_Galaxy
I usually swim LCM, stroke count low-mid 40s. My current usual 100 sendoff is 1:40. 40.xx for a 50 sprint (though I could/should be faster - I've done 17.xx from a push for a SCM 25).
One could do a lot of things with all that.
