I did not know that USMS does not belong to USADA. Rumor mill speculates that a percentage (small? large?) of masters records (FINA, USMS) were set by athletes on performance enhancing drugs (PEDs).

If Lance wants to swim USMS, let him. I hope USMS won't join in with the many other orgs who are going to punish and sanction him.
I'm sure there are many masters who if tested, would test positive. I'd imagine many take prescribed scripts that are on the banned list, I'd think most are given without the swimmer telling the doc, would you give me XYZ so I can swim faster. Plus there's many anti aging clinics all across the country providing easy access to HGH & testesterone. We've all seen some remarkably fit swimmers & some age defying athletes might raise questions. I think full testing is expensive and not a cost that USMS or FINA wants to bear or even pass through for Masters swimming.
