Kicking is essential to swimming.
If you want to swim fast, you need to kick fast.
With a board, without a board,
With fins, without fins.
While swimming or just kicking.
Consider improving your kick.
We need speed.
What did you do in practice today?
the breastroke lane
The Middle Distance Lane
The Backstroke Lane
The Butterfly Lane
The SDK Lane
The Taper Lane
The Distance Lane
The IM Lane
The Sprint Free Lane
The Pool Deck
I'd never heard of this postal event. When was it added?
One question. It says:
2. No "stroking" into wall.
Do you just kick until your board bumps the wall, then turn?
I sent this email to Marcia:
Hi Marcia,
On the
400 kick for Time
Consider requiring counters/timers to use a split sheet & for kickers to include their 50 splits along with their final times
Please clarify the rule:
"2. No stroking into the wall"
On turns, are kickers allowed to redirect their boards before they touch the wall?
On more rules consider specifying
no pulling on lane lines
One or 2 kickers per lane
if there are 2, they must split the lane

Thanks for the feedback, Ande. Unfortunately it's too late to change the wording, as I've already received several entries. But I hope I can clarify this for you.
Yes, you can redirect your board. You just can't pull through the water with one arm before you get to a wall. That's what most people would define as "stroking" so I hope it's obvious to everyone. *Good idea on the rest. I'll include it next year.
Good luck!
Marcia
