If you want to swim fast, you need to kick fast.
With a board, without a board,
With fins, without fins.
While swimming or just kicking.
Consider improving your kick.

All flutter kick with a board in a 25y pool:
2x25 on :25
2x50 on :50
2x75 on 1:15
2x100 on 1:40
2x125 on 2:05
2x150 on 2:30
2x175 on 2:55
2x200 on 3:20
Wasn't very impressed with how I did. I was trying to hold a 1:30 pace or faster per 100, but started slipping on the second 150. Held a 1:34/1:35 pace for the rest of the set.
I'm a far cry from my old 1000 kick for time average pace of 1:27!!
