New member with first post. I was wondering if anyone has tried the Finis Rangs "buoy system" as a replacement to the traditional pull buoy . Knowing me, I will surely end-up purchasing a pair, but would love to hear any comments, both positive and negative. From the pictures, I notice that the "flotation foam" is located on one portion of the sleeve, and was curious to hear whether this foam should be located on the top or bottom of one's legs.

I don't think I would use these. You would need to plan your workout with care because of the time you will lose placing these on your legs. Not good if you are doing pulls in the middle of your workout.
I am all about how much distance I can get in, on my limited time in the pool. I do not want equipment that is going to slow me down.
Did you notice they are out of stock?

I can't imagine it takes more than 30 seconds to get these on. They close with Velcro so it would be like putting on a blood pressure cuff--only around legs.
We used these many years ago. Coaches took a tire tube (a what?) and cut it into strips. You twisted it into a figure eight and slipped it on your ankles. Takes about as much time as tweaking your goggles between swims.
