So to get us back on track...I'm going to brag on the Virginia Masters women in the 70-74 age group. This group of women -- Beth Schreiner, Betsy Durrant, Ida Hlavacek, Lucille Griffin, Judy Martin, and Susan Marens -- were responsible for 26 individual Top 10 times and were part of 3 TT relays. They had at least one TT time in every individual event except 200 ***. (An oversight I'm sure.)
And this wasn't even an exceptional year for them, they often have several #1 relay times and run the table in the individual events.
(Last year in SCM, 60-year-old VMST member Shirley Loftus-Charley ran the table ALL BY HERSELF: 18 TT rankings. Yikes, that makes me tired just thinking about it!)
