I would like to thank Janet Evans, arguably the greatest non-OW distance swimmer ever, for preserving my motivation by failing to ask for her OT results to be included.
This statement is false. The reason you don't see Janet Evan's times in the results of the Olympic Trials is because she was not a 2012 USMS Registered Masters Swimmer. She was a member in 2011. There were many past members of USMS and there times were not included and there were some future members of USMS that were not included in the top ten. Future members are defined as Olympic Trial swimmers joining the USMS after the Olympic Trials meet was over. I know of two swimmers that joined after the trials were over and there times did not count.
