Read 'em and weep...
The preliminary Top 10 listings for the 2012 long-course meters season, which ran 10/1/11 - 9/30/12, are now available. Please check for inaccuracies and email Mary Beth Windrath, or PM me, with potential corrections by Nov 24.

Does anybody know why times from Olympic Trails were added to the Top Ten list? It seems they don't count for records though.
Because multiple people at the meet requested it of their top ten recorder and the appropriate pool measurements had been taken.
Rather than add the times piecemeal, with each LMSC TTR doing it for their own swimmer(s) who submitted requests, Anna Lea identified all the USMS members at the meet and sent them an email asking if they wanted their times considered for USMS top ten. The ones who said yes were added.
The times would have been fine for USMS records if the record application is submitted. The deadline is 90 days after the end of the LCM season. The swimmer may either not care to do this or may plan on doing it later.
As an FYI: FINA considers these time ineligible for masters world rankings or records (FINA requires that times be from USMS sanctioned meets, while USMS accepts times from recognized meets as long as the appropriate measurements are taken).
