I think this has been covered before but wanted to ask again:
=> When you're swimming laps do you ever use a music system as an adjunct? I mean - like the kind you wear on your ear.
Which types are best? I know there's one that transmits the sound through the mastoid bone.
Any recommendations out there?
Thx.

The Swimman has the best sound, but it is fiddley and you really have to take good care of it. But the people at that company absolutely LOVE what they do and are always helpful. (And it's always entertaining to talk to the surfer dude on the phone!) The SwimMP3 has worse sound (especially doing breaststoke! :)), but is easier to deal with and is much cheaper...but, again, it is cheaper and breaks easier. Plus since it's not an iPod like the Swimman, you have to finagle your music to make it playable. The Swimman is just a waterproof iPod shuffle.
If you go with the Swimman, remember to get petroleum jelly to coat the earplugs, and NEVER take them out until you're done, no matter who wants to talk to you! Any water in there and you're history as far as hearing the music. But if you put them in right, you get an amazing sound.
