You certainly do not have to disclose anything but I am curious to know if your club's lane/pool rentals are exorbitant (SP?). I currently coach a very large masters group 150+ in a 6 lane/25M shallow pool/6' wide lanes (i am 6'4 and shallow end is right below knee) and is not compliant with current standards. Not all the members show up at once, that would be insane...
I can't substantiate it for sure but our wonderful city uses different rates for the club team (age groupers) than it does for masters (adult) - go figure - its the same space.
I think we are upwards of $20-$25/lane which i think is absolutely ridiculous for the state and age of the facility...
In my experience it varies from community to community, or from pool to pool, even location.
I recommend that you become a good consumer and shop around. My geographic area has eleven + pools, open year round, all with Masters and/or Age Group swimming. They all charge different fees.
The pools range in size from LCM, SCM and SCY's. One location refuses to rent out its pool to anyone, they keep it for their own use/purposes. What a waste it bearly gets used and its LCM.
I think you're lucky to get it frankly.
In our little slice of the world it is very difficult to get lane time if you are not a part of the club as an employee. As in, it doesn't happen.
