A few years ago I was on deck volunteering at a very big and prestigious meet full of college swimmers and a few Olympians. I was a drug escort so needed to be within close proximity to my swimmer until they went to be tested. During the few minutes of waiting time between the race and medal ceremony I heard, "Why are you back in the pool?" "I have to pee!"
On our team there have been numerous discussions about which pool has great gutters to sit in so it does not look like you are going vs the pools with little drains etc... Trust me, they are all going in the pool!
