So far we got 11 & I think many more are likely to RSVP
What I'm thinking is I'll tell them
20 or 30 so
we'd like several tables in a section
Folks might arrive as early as 6:00 or as late a 8:30
So don't think you have to arrive on time
Just show up when you can
But please continue to RSVP

Save a little bit for the final 50?? Or didn't like being behind on the final turn? Very Phelps-ish like on the come from behind victory. Nice job !!! :bow:Thanks. I had no clue where Dave was as I was in lane 2 and he was in lane 8 or 9. I was just fighting to finish that puppy.
This must've been quite cool to watch (as long as you weren't Eric). A 4 second differential on the final 50 is just killer!! Another 5 meters or less and you'd have been National Champ I bet. Nice going!!
We weren't in the same heat, actually. I'm not knocking the seeding format; i had excellent competition in my heat and went a best time.
The other obvious explanation is the pool is shorter in one direction than in the other. I just hope they measured it both ways! :bolt:
I was thinking about this some more and if the pool really does have a clockwise current then it would be advantageous in the 50 free to be in lanes 0-2 or thereabouts. Which Cullen Jones and Kara Lynn Joyce both were when they made the Olympic team. Also, during my 1500 I removed my cap at the 700 mark and by the end of the race it had wandered from lane 2 over to lane 5, consistent with a clockwise current.
