Yeah, I am sure I am not the only one. Not in any way an attack on her, just disappointed she wasn't faster... I am also disappointed with how some of the swims have gone down. There have been quite a few poorly executed swims that may have resulted in missed Olympic births...

Don't have anything left that year? Come on, Tom! Yeah, obviously most people achieve their Trials cuts while tapered. But Trials is the biggest meet most of these swimmers will ever compete in. It just seems to me that only 20% beating their seed times is pretty low. I can't answer That Guy's question about how many should swim faster, but it seems like it would be more than 20%, but maybe not. 2008 was probably the anomaly with the magic suits making everyone swim fast. If your entry time is the fastest you have been in the last 3 years it would be hard to beat it. If you do 2 tapered meets a year that could be the fastest time of 6 fully tapered swims. 20% looks pretty good. Also for people who qualified a while ago their training could have decreased since they qualified. For some college swimmers if their term ended in April they could have moved home and stopped or reduced training as well if they knew they had no chance in qualifying.
