Goals For The Month

I swim/train with more intensity if I feel that I am swimming for something. So I decided to make monthly goals that I am going to try and achieve. Anyone else that wants to post their monthly goals here or just goals in general feel welcomed. At the end of the month I will let you know if I achieved my goals or how close I came. I came up with 3 goals for this month. 1. Break 12 seconds in 25yd SDK from backstroke start 2. Break 54 seconds in 100yd IM 3.Break 10 seconds in 25yd Free All these goals I am going to try and break at practice. I can break all three when I am tapered but would like to try and do it when I am broken down and in a practice environment.

    Waterboy: if you are not realy training for a meet, you could also consider to develop taskgoals instead of resultgoals. They can be very helpful in getting motivated to achive the desired outcomes in times for a certain distance.. You can control taskgoals better then resultgoals. I do a lot better with result goals rather than task goals. I have a few task goals already set but Me personally I need a set time to try and reach to push me.
