Remarkable Swims is a thread to discuss swims by swimmers of all ages that are remarkable. These swims might or might not be records, but there's something about them that's remarkable and worth sharing.

23.34 49.25 (25.91) 1:14.64 (25.39) 1:40.06 (25.42)
I've never heard of a 13 year old going that fast in the 200 sc FR and that to me is remarkable!
excellent splitting too.

Far Western Championships: Austin Nguyen, Pacific Swim: Boys 11-12 200 yard breaststroke -- 2:17.87 (old meet record 2:18.32)
Note: Kids that turn 12 this year were born in the year 2000. You are REALLY OLD.

That is an awesome swim. Interestingly, the NAG record in the event is 1:38.94 by Nick Silverthorn who set the record in 2010 and swims for the same team as Maxime Rooney! I have a feeling Rooney is going to break that record since he's got another year in the age group.
That really is interesting. Perhaps alot more kids are capable of those kind of swims if they are in the right enviroment?
