:cane:Please suggest any orthopedists in maryland or DC who do good work and understand the mechanics of swimmers knee problems...During a deep side lunge at the end of a full masters workout and a yoga class, I heard a big pop and pain shot through my knee. Since that day, my knee double clicks with each step, and is getting more and more painful. My ortho is suggesting that it is just arthritis! He has given me 2 cortisone shots ( not really helpful) and a synthetic synovial fluid injection (helped a little bit for a few weeks.)...well I have had arthritis forever, and it has never felt this bad....I think I need someone who understands swimming mechanics to help me out. I and a chunky over 50 girl, who doesn't look very much like she trains, so I think he is not really believing me...He keeps saying it's just arthritis...even though there's a tear of my miniscus done while I was wearing a knee brace that the tech forgot to tell me to remove:bliss:, and my knee has lots of laxity and never, ever locked up or double clicked before that day......do I need to see someone new? Even freestyle kick hurt more than ever this week, had to bail out at under 3000 yards! ....thanks!

If you can't find any direct recommendations- I would suggest calling up some pharmacies in your area. If the pharmacist has worked there a while, is good at their job, and listens to customers, they might be able to recommend someone.
