Warm climate workout groups open to guests?

New Englander here with the chance to take a short-notice 3 - 4 day vacation at the end of the month - thinking of creating a quick training trip where I could get in a workout or two a day and enjoy a beer and a bite to eat in the evening, and basically do nothing else. I'm hoping to find a warm place to go with a reasonably well-structured/coached masters program that allows for drop-ins. Soliciting recommendations on programs that are welcoming to guests with (preferably) outdoor facilities. South Florida is probably better for flight time, but I wouldn't rule out TX, AZ, even SoCal. Appreciate any advice from the group.

  • I know our team in Mesa, AZ welcomes guests: www.mesamasters.com/Home.jsp Additionally, you can try the teams at ASU (Sun Devil Masters), the Phoenix Swim Club, and even take a roadtrip to Tucson and swim with the team at the U of A. :applaud:I'll second this vote. We're about in the zone of perfect weather here in Arizona, have a much better & modern hotel / tourism setup than over-crowded FL, zero humidity and Paul Smith. What more could you ask for? If you want to get ambitious, you could hit 3 workouts a day between Mesa, Phoenix Swim Club and ASU.
