So, everyone who has done other foreign country Masters Nationals, had a steel tape or the laser one with them along with all their luggage, tech suits, goggle, etc. It is fine to have this for driving meets. Not every official is going to measure a pool. Some may be accomodating because they know the person that they are measuring for it. The rest look at you like you are speaking Klingon.
