MEN’S ALL-TIME SCY TOP 50 PERFORMERS-PERFORMANCES RANKINGS

Fred Bousquet's 18.67 50 scy was done in a masters meet.
Tiger Masters/Aub./FRA Tiger Masters Invite. Auburn 02-14-10
(Note: U.S.Masters 25-29 record and FASTEST all-time by ANY Masters swimmer. Time swum
in suit no longer useable in U.S. Swimming and/or international competition but OK for USMS)
The lists of times are very good, however the comments below the times are often false statements and they are pointed out and never corrected.
For example, I have found swimmers on those lists that have been credited for Masters World Records in the comments section when they are not World Records. I have asked where do these World Records come from and what do they mean. I have never, ever, gotten an answer to where these come from and what creditable organization is compiling them. It's not Swimming World's fault because they make the statement "Swimming World does not guarantee the accuracy of content in the lists, but only provides them for our readers' entertainment and enjoyment".
As everyone knows. FINA is the only organization that ratifies Masters World Records in FINA member sanctioned meets. To qualify for a Masters World Record you must be a member of a FINA member nation and be registered as a masters swimmer in that nation. You must perform the swim in a Masters Sanctioned meet. The last requirement is that you have to abide by the requirements to file the record and examples of these include pool measurement, record application, referee signature.
I have seen Masters World Records listed for Short Course Yards when everyone knows that follows swimming that you cannot have a World Record in a Yards competition and FINA ratifies World Records in meters competition.
Other than the errors that are in the comments section, and the lack of proof reading before publication of the comments, the lists are very good.
