There used to be a pair of 35lb ones at the gym for about two years, but the owner of the pair took them back to his home gym (it's a hospital gym, and the owner of the kettlebells works at the hospital). While they were there I liked using them, and did the following 3 exercises:
Standing one-arm shoulder press (with weight above the handle)
Kettlebell Swings
Kettlebell Windmill
Didn't do a whole routine with them (there are many more exercises in addition to the ones I listed), but it was fun to lift/do something different. Also, I don't know how much, if any, they helped with my swimming, but again, it was something different to do. A few years ago I entertained the idea of getting a pair to keep at home, but I guess I lost interest…plus, it would mean I'd have to grow my handlebar mustache out again. :D
I use them for one exercise in my dryland routine. I do step ups onto a 30" high platform while holding 26KG kettlebells. I think it is a good quad builder set.
I have been using them for about 4 months approx. 3 times a week and love them. I am doing KettleWorx and 2 different Bob Harper DVDs -- I use 10 and 15lbs and the workouts are heavy on the cardio side. I have noticed that my core is much stronger and I am swimming faster.
We do "surf" training with them.

We have also done it towing parachutes, buckets, etc. Best distance covered so far is 50yds!
