What do you think about the THE TOP 10 SWIMS OF 2011
Thinking about those make me feel so slow like I shouldn't be in the pool. I kinda try not to cause its impossible not to compare onesself and it just becomes a total downer for me, lol. :cane:
Dare I ask... What would you all call the top 10 Masters swims of 2011?

My nominee ... from Swimming World:
David Nolan Obliterates National High School Record in 200 IM ...
LEWISBURG, Pennsylvania, March 18. BOUND for Stanford University, Hershey High School's David Nolan obliterated his national high school record in the 200 individual medley ... Nolan clocked an eye-popping 1:41.39 in the IM, lowering his national mark of 1:43.43, set during last year's Pennsylvania Class AA meet ... Nolan split 22.07 for the opening fly leg, turned at 46.99 after the backstroke leg and was timed in 1:16.75 after the breaststroke leg.

Only two American swimmers have ever gone faster -- Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. An amazing swim!
Here are some great nominations from the Open Water that I'd suggest:
2011 World Open Water Swimming - Woman of the Year Nominee - Pat Gallant-Charette - YouTube
- Check out what this young lady did in the water this year - amazing! I signed up for my first ever OW swim (Peaks to Portland 2.4 mile in Maine) last year after reading her blog.
2011 World Open Water Swimming - Performance of the Year Nominee - Ray Gandy's Two Days in the Bay - YouTube
- In addition to his great efforts, he also was the director of the New England 6+ mile (10k) OW Championships that I took part in this year, and a great encouragement to all of us during and after the event.
Both of these folks will make you want to leave the black line for a while when the summer air heats up.
:applaud:  :agree: :notworthy: :applaud:
^^^ This record will probably be around for years and years. He would have won the NCAA Div 1 this year with that swim.
Sun Yang's 1500 WR at Shanghai. His last 100 was remarkable. His last 50 was astonishing.
World Aquatics Ch 2011: Swimming, Men's 1500 m freestyle, Final - YouTube
25.94 last 50
54.22 last 100
1.52.98 last 200
3.50.47 last 400
triple breathing off the turns
His last 400 would have won the 400 fr at the 1984 Olympics.
