Rick Colella is a "beast"!

Congrats to Rick for his swims this week-end. He took out my world records in the 100 and 200 *** plus both the 100 and 400 IM records. Rick was a medalist in the Montreal Olympics in 1976. He politely left me with the 50 record in 60-64 I think because the meet did'nt include it. I've got to get to work and put up some solid times in 65-69 group for him to shoot down. Sorry all you 60-64 guys the "beast" has arrived. Rick is a great guy from an amazing Northwest swimming family. Congrats again, Rick.

  • The 50 *** was offered in the meet but I think Rick just entered those four events and not the 50 for whatever reason. Or the 200 IM for that matter. If you want to go hatin' on somebody, jaadams1 provided Rick a rabbit to chase in the 400 IM :bolt: You're welcome!! :) I was going for my own NW Zone record at the same time as Rick was going for his WR in the 400 IM!! I missed mine by 3 seconds though, but apparently it helped Rick by having me out there. He thanked me afterward for NOT being a breaststroker. (It is EVIL, as is backstroke). At least I can say I beat a former Olympian, even though he is almost twice my age!!
