Soni just threw down the fastest time in the world this year. She and Hardy were pretty even at the 50 in 31-low each, but then Soni just ran away with it.

The FINA B standard for the women's 100 *** is 1:10.89. I don't see her listed in the results for Shanghai 2011, which is required if you want to go as a 'Universailty' (ie. no qualifying time standard) pick, but given how many big name countries aren't sending athletes with only B standards this time, I'd guess if that she can get a B time, she'd get an Olympic invite.

Bob Bowman tweeted a while back that Phelps would be going to this meet. Incidentally, this meet falls on the same weekend as the Santa Clara meet. It's kind of disappointing for all us West Coast swim fans who were hoping to see Phelps swim one last time on his "farewell tour." Especially so since Phelps was just in Austin earlier this year.
Berens at 1:47 here, and Dana Vollmer swimming the 200 free regularly the Grand Prix season seem to make the US 4x200 relays more promising come London.
Somebody double check if I seeing this right - I think Lisa Blackburn, 40 yrs old, just made OT's in the 100 *** prelims.
wow! 1:11.7
1:12 is qualifying
