Generally fewer people swim LCM so it stands to reason that the times are a little softer. The location/size of spring vs summer nationals is a big factor, since nationals is probably the single biggest meet for producing TT times. This year Mesa was pretty big (despite the suit ban, imagine that) while Auburn was not.
Lack of LCM pools is probably another factor. It is hard to find a good LCM meet around here, anyway. And some people shift their focus to OW swimming in the warmer months.
That makes sense. Spoiled out here - six 50 meter pools within 15 minutes of my house.
WoooHOOO! :bliss:Made TT (#3, #7, and #8) for three relays; probably the only way I will ever see Top Ten rankings (unless I outlive the competition).
:applaud: you helped them get those TT spots.
I'm chuffed that my 800 split hung in at #10 to give me 3 TTs for 2 swims - now that's value
Shouldn't the times have been uploaded with something like "(not eligible for top ten etc etc)" next to them? I've seen that sort of thing noted before, such as for meets that were held in pools that were an incorrect length.
Thanks for catching that. I just added a note to the meet info.
So is Virginia going to come down to Greensboro and spank the home team?
That would be darn embarrassing so I'm predicting it won't happen. Then again we lost our state meet last year to the SC team. As you know, losing anything against South Cackalacky is grounds for USMS expulsion.

Congratulations Eliane!
