Actually it would if you do a correction to account for the catenary 'bowing' of the tape.
edit: Sorry for being a little snippy. I realize it's not your fault the pool was measured properly. It would suck to be denied a Top Ten listing because the meet hosts screwed up. All I'm saying is the pool measurement rules are there for a reason.
