Journey to Olympic Trials, by Jeff Commings

Have y'all seen Journey to Olympic Trials, by Jeff Commings This blog will post every workout I do as I prepare to compete at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials. I will be 38 years old when I swim the 100 breaststroke at the Trials in Omaha, so my journey to this meet will be unlike that of just about all the other competitors attending Trials his First post was: Sunday, August 21, 2011 Welcome! Let the journey begin! where he wrote: My primary goal is to not get "DFL," or "Dead F------- Last." After a lengthy discussion with my coach, Mark Rankin, we thought it would be a nice goal to also swim under 1:04 Jeff's blog will be fun to follow and I'm certain he won't be DFL at trials.

No doubt, Go Jeff! I swam with Jeff at Texas and he was always a devoted and dedicated swimmer. He worked with Eddie all the time to perfect himself and to have that focus and determination at that age is what gave him his success today. No way you will get DFL, you have wisdom that will give you wings. It's what makes Dara able to do what she can do.
